The Ploughboy & His Love

According to James Healy, writing in 1967, ‘The Ploughboy And His Love’ is an English song that was sung in Ireland. He knew no more and neither do I.

Henry Herbert La Thangue painted our quartet today: The Ploughboy 1900, The Last Furrow 1895, The Violinist 1902, and A Mission To Seamen 1892. (Click on a pic to see them all larger.)
