Almost all the songs, rhymes & stories I gathered that have not been published are on this website. There are now more than 600 songs. The ones I’m recording now were mostly collected around the beginning of the 20th century by the pioneers and are known to many folk people, though I’m still finding rarities never previously recorded. Happy listening!
1979 Martin M38 This powerful guitar accompanied me for 32 years of professional work in folk clubs, on commercial albums and countless other recordings, not to mention concerts and several hundred school assemblies. A brilliant instrument, never a cross word and I’m sorry I sold it.
2008 Martin 000-28VS This very comfortable guitar is my best balanced and most played instrument on more than 300 archive recordings.
2013 Amalio Burguet Maple Beautiful, sonorous and very well behaved.
2015 Martin 00-28VS A sweet-sounding, very comfortable little darlin’ and so pretty!
1912 Wheatstone 48 key Aeola An excellent instrument which Steve Dickinson restored for me. I played it for many years of lively barn dance work, occasional song accompaniments and in church worship bands too.
My 1931 Wheatstone English was once in the Salvation Army. It’s light, sweet, reliable and perfect for accompanying songs.
